CHICAGO AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY ANNOUNCES 2002 POSTER

Student artwork to be featured in calendar and national magazine
CHICAGO-- The Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS) and the American Automobile Association (AAA) proudly announce their 2002 poster contest, "How Will I Get There When I Grow Up?" The contest is open to students from Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties.
Students in grades K-6 are invited to submit a drawing that depicts the role of transportation in their lives by April 26, 2002. Entries will be judged on originality and creativity of expression, how well the design illustrates the theme, and quality and visual impact. Winners will be honored during a special award ceremony and will receive a variety of prizes, including a U.S. Savings Bond.
Winning artwork will be featured in Home and Away, the official magazine of the American Automobile Association (AAA), and in the CATS 2001-2002 School Year Calendar. For rules, entry forms and submission information, call Suzanne Lanzafame at 312.793.0192.

The Chicago Area Transportation Study is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) designated by state and local officials to administer the urban transportation planning process for the northeastern Illinois region. The area serviced by CATS includes Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties, plus a portion of Kendall County.
