Illinois State Toll Highway Authority

maintain, and service a system of tollways in the northern portion of the state. Includes

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
The FAA is responsible for the safety and certification of aircraft and
pilots, for the security of airports, and for the around the clock operation of our
nation's air traffic control system.
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)

Transportation Research Board (TRB)
The TRB promotes innovation and progress in transportation by stimulating
and conducting research, facilitating the dissemination of information, and encouraging

U.S. National Transportation Safety Board
This is an independent federal agency that investigates every civil
aviation accident in the U.S. and significant accidents in the other modes of
transportation, conducts special investigations and safety studies, and issues safety
recommendations to prevent further accidents.
U.S. Surface Transportation Board
This decisionally independent, bipartisan adjudicate body, originally
housed in the United States Department of Transportation, has jurisdiction over certain
surface transportation economic regulatory matters.
