Please visit the CMAP website for current transportation planning information.

The most certain way to shape the future of the region tomorrow is to reach the young people today. They will be the decision-makers of the future. In addition, youth provide an invaluable perspective, optimism and energy that is a resource for our communities and our region.

As CATS prepares transportation plans for the region, we attempt to predict what will be needed in the future. Where will people be living and working in five, ten or twenty years, and how will they get around? Today's children are tomorrow's adults, and decisions made now will affect them later. As such, CATS is committed to involving children in the planning process as early as possible and keeping them involved as they grow older.

We invite children, parents and teachers to join our effort to expand educational offerings for young people. If you have a suggestion, need a guest speaker or want more information about transportation planning, please call the Communications Department at 312/793-3460.
