The AQTM Task Force meeting is scheduled to meet January 19, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Agenda items include: Non Central City Park n Ride Lot - status report on feasibility engineering for the 5 Phase I lots CMAQ application. TM&O Specific Plan - progress report on initial activities toward a regional inventory of TM&O actions and future needs. Regional Emergency Ride Home - draft business plans for AQTM review, and potential for CMAQ grant. Projects of Air Quality Benefit 2004 Report request for final comments on draft report. TDM Annex Draft Plan request for comments and recommendation to forward to WPC and Illinois Terrorism Task Force. New business items include: Idle Air Technology @ Truck Standing Locations, FY 2006 UWP tasks. Next meeting planned for April.

Intermodal Advisory Task Force convened on December 15. Featured speakers were Mike Huerta, Senior Vice-President & Managing Director of ACS, Washington, D.C., and Leann Redden, Chief of Planning for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority; there was a panel-type discussion on the salient features of various toll projects, extant and in preparation. Spokesperson for Metropolis 2020 announced that their Freight Plan is scheduled for roll-out week of December 20. Gerald Rawling introduced a concept paper on C4T (CREATE for trucks).

The UWP Subcommittee met twice prior to the initiation of the FY 2006 UWP program development process on January 14, 2005. The preliminary meetings were held to build an approach for this year’s UWP program development process. The process will focus on several emphasis areas that have been identified particularly for this year’s program. The process will also clearly identify how federal requirements are addressed and will be organized along seven categories that were endorsed by the Work Program Committee in January of 2001.
