Issues and Projects Identified through Public Involvement Process for 2020 RTP 2000 Update |
|
CATS has convened a highway working group and a transit working group to assist with the development of Shared Path 2030, the next update of the regional transportation plan. These groups will be recommending regionally significant proposals for inclusion in the plan. Many transportation issues and projects were identified through the public involvement process for the 2020 RTP 2000 Edition. We have categorized and listed them to provide a starting point for the working groups. Projects and issues may have had support, opposition, or both expressed as part of the public involvement process, so the issues and projects are included for identification only. Click here for a pdf file of this memo and an excerpt from the list provided to the working groups. We have only included sub-categories that seemed particularly relevant to walking and biking issues. This excerpt is being provided to you for your consideration in developing any bicycle- or pedestrian-related project proposals for the Shared Path 2030 process. Proposals from Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force members are due on March 1. For information on how to submit a project for consideration by the Highway Working Group or Transit Working Group, or for the full list of projects and issues, please contact me at (312)793-3466 or at tmurtha@catsmpo.com. Project forms and guidance will be distributed at the meeting. |
