ACTION: Approval of meeting notes.

  • Update Regarding Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan
  • CATS staff will review progress on developing the request for proposals for developing the regional bicycle and pedestrian transportation plan.

    ACTION: Information.

  • Household Travel Survey
  • CATS staff will provide an update on the household travel survey design process and provide an opportunity for task force members to share their ideas on what data should be collected.

    ACTION: Information and discussion.

  • Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Funding
  • CATS staff will review the status of discussions regarding funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects, including tracking expenditures for IDOT bicycle and pedestrian improvements and consideration of using Hazard Elimination funds for bicycle and pedestrian safety projects.

    ACTION: Information.

  • CMAQ Project Selection
  • CATS staff will solicit feedback on projects being considered for the FY02 CMAQ program. See Attachment 2.

    ACTION: Information and discussion.

  • Walkable Communities Update
  • CATS staff will provide an update on the program. Program information and a list of the selected communities is included in Attachment 3.

    ACTION: Information.

  • Task Force Membership
  • CATS staff will discuss efforts to fill Task Force vacancies. The current member list is included as Attachment 4.

    ACTION: Discussion.

  • Other Business
  • Recent work in implementing the Suburban Bike Rack Incentive Program is included as Attachment 5 for Task Force information.

  • Schedule Next Meeting
  • Public comment is encouraged throughout the meeting. The chair will recognize non-task force members as appropriate. The chair will have the discretion to limit discussion if it becomes redundant or is irrelevant.
